My Key Issues

Invest in mental health resources

"I believe mental health is just as critical as physical health, and it's time Anchorage invested in accessible, community-based mental health resources that support families, reduce crisis response burdens, and strengthen public safety."

Addressing substance abuse and mental health issues

"Addressing substance abuse and mental health issues requires a compassionate, community-based approach—Anchorage must invest in prevention, treatment, and recovery programs that meet people where they are and help them rebuild their lives."

Community involvement in decision-making

"I believe the people of Anchorage deserve a real voice in the decisions that shape their lives—community involvement isn’t optional; it’s essential to building trust, transparency, and policies that truly reflect our values."

The Homeless Crisis

As a candidate running for Assembly Member for Anchorage, Daniel Rampke is committed to advancing sustainable solutions to homelessness through a Housing First approach, strategic investments in emergency shelters, and community-driven initiatives. His policy priorities include Expanding access to permanent housing through zoning reform and adaptive reuse of properties. Supporting emergency shelter operations with oversight and licensing improvements. Promoting health & safety nets for unhoused residents via municipal programs and partnerships. Encouraging community engagement through volunteer opportunities and public testimony. Driving Innovation with Mobile Dwelling Units and micro-housing strategies. Human Trafficing

As a candidate running for assembly member for Anchorage, Daniel Rampke is dedicated to protecting vulnerable Alaskans from exploitation and trafficking. His policy priorities align with statewide efforts and include Supporting HB118, which seeks to codify the Alaska Council on Human & Sex Trafficking as a permanent entity. This council coordinates data collection, survivor services, and prevention strategies across agencies and nonprofits1. Collaborating with the Anchorage Mayor’s Human Trafficking Working Group, which unites local, state, and federal resources to raise awareness and reduce trafficking incidents2. Expanding victim services, including housing, trauma-informed care, and job training for survivors. Promoting preventive education in schools to help youth recognize grooming and exploitation tactics. Strengthening law enforcement partnerships with APD, the FBI, and tribal police to identify and prosecute traffickers. Opposing legalization of prostitution, which has been shown to increase trafficking rates globally1. Daniel believes that every Alaskan deserves safety, dignity, and freedom from exploitation, and he is committed to building a future where trafficking has no place in our communities.
